2016-2017 Winter Sports

The athletic department has prepared several publications that provide helpful information about Carrollwood Day School's athletic program and the responsibilities of all who are an integral part of our team community. Parents and student-athletes are asked to take the time to read these publications:

All student-athletes must have all required forms completed and turned in to the school office before they can participate in any athletic programs at Carrollwood Day School.  This includes practice sessions.  These forms are available on the Athletic Forms page on the CDS school website.

Elementary Sports

Students in grades 4 and 5 are invited to join the Running Club which practices and participates in meets with the Middle School Track & Field team.

Middle School Sports

Middle school winter sports (cheerleading, basketball, and soccer) will run from November through January. In order to develop the game schedules, arrange for practice space and times, and order uniforms, our athletic directors need to have an idea of how many students are interested in participating in each sport. Watch for more information about middle school sports.

Mandatory "Concussion in Sports" Training

The FHSAA requires all students who are going to play a high school sport (this includes middle school students) to complete the "Concussion in Sports" video before they are eligible to participate in the sport. This is now a yearly requirement. There is no fee to order/take this course. More information can be found on the "Athletics Forms" page. You must print and turn in your completion certificate to the athletic department.
