CDS appoints first Assistant Head of School for Academics
Head of School Ryan Kelly is pleased to announce the appointment of Sara Rubinstein as Carrollwood Day School’s first Assistant Head of School for Academics beginning July 1, 2019. Ms. Rubinstein will also continue to serve as Upper School Head. Ms. Rubinstein served a similar joint role at Saint Andrew's School, an Episcopal day and boarding school serving 1,275 students in grades PK-12, located in Boca Raton, FL prior to joining the CDS administration in 2017.
As Assistant Head of School for Academics, Ms. Rubinstein will oversee all aspects of curriculum, teaching, and learning as set forth by the Head of School and rooted in the school’s mission. She will be the school’s chief academic officer and will collaborate closely with the other Division Heads to ensure CDS is delivering academic excellence to all students. With our school’s growth and expanding academic offerings, this new position is critical to ensure curricular coherence and support the tremendous faculty members who work with our students.
“I am incredibly excited about Ms. Rubinstein taking on this new role. Her expertise in instruction, curriculum, and pedagogy will be fully utilized as Assistant Head of School for Academics, and I know CDS will continue to grow academically with her leadership.”
