Jim Poulin
MS/US Innovation Integrator
Jim Poulin

After five years in the CDS Upper School, Jim Poulin is transitioning to the role of MS and US Innovation Integrator. After successfully building the Design Technology program in the Upper School, Jim is eager to use his passion for innovation in education to help all of our faculty identify and design classroom strategies and tools that can help better prepare our students for the demands of their future world.

As Jim explains his new role, "As the Design Tech teacher, one of the challenges has always been to remain current and relevant as technology and innovation progresses at a rapid rate. It is one thing to get a nice fancy new machine, however, using it in a relevant way and keeping that machine running often takes a back seat to planning, grading, and finding new methods of getting information across to students."

Jim sees himself as a facilitator to help teachers maximize these resources and is prepared to hit the ground running next school year. In addition to spending time looking over the MS and US curriculum this summer, he has already reached out to teachers for their ideas on how he can assist them in finding and using resources that complement the amazing things they are already doing in their classroom.
