CROSS COUNTRY

Varsity

  • Saturday: Great meet!! Coach Stanley is so proud of how far the team has come. We anticipate the next half of the season to be equally, if not more amazing as runners keeping getting stronger and faster with every race!

Middle School

  • Monday: It was their first meet of the season. CDS started out strong with 6 of the top 10 runners coming from CDS!

FOOTBALL

Varsity

  • Friday: Our Patriots put up a great fight against Seffner with some outstanding plays. It just wasn’t enough to stop the Crusaders. Final score 2-28.

Middle School

  • Thursday: Our MS Football team crushed the Crusaders of Seffner Christian 40-14!

GOLF

  • Tuesday: Despite three Patriot golfers having their best round of the season, the best the team could do was a split, beating Bishop McLaughlin and narrowly losing to Academy at the Lakes by 6 strokes. Leading the way for CDS was Ty S. who took first place with a solid 38, followed by  Keanu P. (40) and Carson Y. (42).  Jacob Z. (51) and Bailen T. (50) carded their best round of the season, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Academy’s foursome of 38, 40, 41, and 43.  The Patriots are now at 6 and 1 on the season. On the girl’s side, Olivia H. took first place with a solid 47, but no team victory could be had since neither CDS, Bishop McLaughlin, nor Academy at the Lakes could field a full team. The teams next meet Cambridge Christian and Steinbrenner on Thursday at Cheval.

  • Thursday: The Patriot golfers got back on track Thursday at Cheval. On one side, four Lady Patriots had their best round of the season (Olivia H., Riley H., Mikaela A., and Chase S.) and they gained a split, topping Cambridge Christian but losing to Steinbrenner. Olivia H. bested her last outing by 6 shots, Mikaela A. by 5, and Riley H. and Chase S. by 3. Hailey A.-K. had some driver problems, but still finished only 2 strokes off her best.  Shot(s) of the day go to Chase S. who, after an awful drive on number 6, followed it with great 7 irons and a 30 foot putt.

CDS boys rebounded from their first loss with a season best team score of 164.  Leading the way was Keanu P.l (38) followed closely by Carson Y. (40), Evan P. (42), and Ty S. (44).  The teams next take on Berkeley Prep on Tuesday.
