10th Grade Boston Trip
10th Grade Boston Trip

Every step tells a story

10th grade just returned from another fantastic trip to Boston! Every year, the 10th grade class has the opportunity to participate in a four-day, overnight trip to Boston. This field trip is organized through the History Department and highlights some of the lessons that students are learning in their US History course as well as a few stops that reinforce literature read in Language and Lit.

Why Boston? Boston is overflowing with opportunities for students to interact firsthand with American History and practice IB Learner Profile Skills. Not only do students participate in a fantastic bonding experience with their peers, as inquirers they have the opportunity to nurture their curiosity by walking in the steps of their Founding Fathers along the Freedom Trail, visiting the JFK Presidential Museum, visiting the homes of literary icons, experiencing art and culture at the Boston Fine Arts Museum and maybe just stopping at some amazing bakeries and candy shops along the way. Students are able to visit college campuses and can reflect on their high school achievements to date and set goals for their last two years and maybe pick up some college swag to show off their school of choice.

The Boston Trip is a student favorite as they experience history and culture balanced with fun activities to build memories that will last a lifetime.
