Temperature checks will be suspended In the 90 days that school has been in session this year, our security team and staff has conducted at least 81,000 temperature checks. Since the first weeks of school, we have not had to turn away a single person because of a fever. Thank you to our families and staff for taking care not to come on campus with an elevated temperature. Effective immediately, temperature checks for students, employees, and visitors will no longer be taken. We urge everyone to continue to uphold our shared commitment to keep our campuses healthy. Parents have a responsibility to continue to monitor their children for signs of infectious illness every day. If your child's temperature is elevated or they are not feeling 100%, they need to stay home.
Campus visitors and fans attending athletic events will still be required to respond to our COVID-19 Questionnaire and sign a COVID-19 Acknowledgement.
Send your student to school with a face mask and a spare! Face masks are the most powerful tool we have to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We are seeing daily that many students are misplacing their face masks following lunch and recess. Please be sure to send your student to school with an extra face mask in their pocket. Students are not allowed back into the building without a face mask! This is putting a strain on the inventory of our emergency supply of face masks. The administration is looking into a process for students to be able to purchase an extra face mask if theirs is lost.
Play it safe during Super Bowl Weekend! Do your part to keep Super Bowl Weekend from being a super-spreader event for Patriot Nation! Gathering virtually or with the people you live with is the safest way to celebrate the Super Bowl this year. If you do have a small gathering with people who don't live with you, outdoors is safer than indoors. This year, choose a safer way to enjoy the game.
If you choose to attend the Super Bowl or a large Super Bowl event, like a watch party, follow these steps to make yourself safer:
