We all scream for ice cream!! The ECC ended the year on a sweet note, thanks to an ice cream party organized by the room parents. Special thanks to head room reps Andrea, Hida and Paige. What a great year it's been!
In June, the 2019 Back-to-School Page will be published on the school website. This page will contain helpful information and important materials families will need prior to the beginning of the school year — all in one place. Kindergarten families will find school supply list, information about uniforms, and more! This page will continue to be updated throughout the summer.
Parents will receive an email notification when Carrollwood Day School's Magnus Health portal is active for 2019-2020! CDS uses this secure online system to collect and manage all student health information and other vital school forms.
All forms and information must be completed / uploaded to the Magnus Health portal by July 31, 2019.
Carrollwood Day School will once again offer elementary parents the opportunity to purchase prepackaged school supplies at the guaranteed lowest prices! PRICING INFORMATION
Each pack of school supplies includes requested items selected by CDS teachers. The packs are shrink-wrapped and delivered to the school for free! Students will receive their supply packs at their teacher meetings in August.
Families may also purchase their own school supplies. Students should bring their school supplies to their "Meet Your Teacher" meeting in August. The kindergarten school supply list will be published over the summer.
If you are interested in potentially becoming a Room Representative for your child's class/homeroom for the 2019-2020 school year, then please add your name to the list by August 2!
We are currently collecting names of those parents who are interested in getting more involved for the ECC. Please add your name to each grade level that you would consider volunteering to be a Room Representative. Final selection will take place by September, after the students have been assigned to their classroom.
The National Association of Elementary Principals has prepared a Report to Parents with tips on how to keep your child engaged during the summer with fun, brain-friendly activities. Many of the suggested activities can be adapted for our ECC friends, too.
With the end of the year here, parents may want to download the items that have been saved to your child's portfolio in SeeSaw. Follow the simple instructions on this video to preserve these memories. Downloading will need to be done from a computer, not from the SeeSaw app. On a computer or laptop, go to SeeSaw.me. Click on “I’m a family member” and sign into your family account. Click here for instructions on how to download your child's 2018-2019 portfolio items.
If any students currently have medications at the ECC, parents will need to pick them up by June 6, 2019. After that, Carrollwood Day School policy directs staff to discard any medication left at the school. We cannot hold medication over summer or send medications home with students.
The medication form completed by parents for the 2018-2019 school year will be void, a new one must be completed for 2019-2020. All medication and special health forms for next year can be found on Magnus Health. The completed forms will need to be uploaded to Magnus Health; no student forms will be turned in to school.
