GETTING READY FOR 2019-2020!

Back-to-School

In June, the 2019 Back-to-School Page will be published on the school website. This page will contain helpful information and important materials families will need prior to the beginning of the school year — all in one place. You will find school summer assignments, supply lists, technology requirements, requirements for athletes, and more! This page will continue to be updated throughout the summer.

COUNSELOR'S CORNER

Talking to Kids

Summer is a time to rest, relax and enjoy. Take time to be mindful in the activities you do as a family, and try to enjoy and savor every moment. Do not over plan, but enjoy this time to connect with your children and spend quality time together.

We hope you have a safe and mindful summer break!

Here are some articles on mindful reading and mindful activities to do with your children.

2019 YEARBOOKS ARE HERE!

Every student at Carrollwood Day School receives a copy of the school yearbook. The 2018 Yearbook has been distributed to MS and US students.

Yearbook

ECC and elementary will receive their yearbooks on the last day of school.

HINT: Bring your yearbook into the sun to see what happens!

2018-2019 PHOTO GALLERIES

Photo Gallery

You can enjoy memories from the 2018-2019 school year by visiting Carrollwood Day School's online photo gallery. This is a secure, private website where CDS families can view and download high resolution images of CDS students in the classroom, at sporting events, and at select school activities. Parents will be able to see, share, or order photos from this gallery.  This password protected site is for the exclusive use of CDS families. The password to this online photo gallery is included in today's Thursday Folder email blast.

We ask that you respect the privacy of other CDS families and only download pictures with your children. Please do not post to social media any downloaded photos that contain children other than your own.

Lost & Found

All items that are in the lost and found cabinets on the Bearss Avenue campus will be cleaned out tomorrow, May 24. Parents and students should check for items before noon on Friday.

MESSAGE FROM THE SCHOOL NURSE

Medications

Medication

If any students currently have medications in the nurse's office or at the ECC, parents will need to pick them up by June 6, 2019. After that, Carrollwood Day School policy directs staff to discard any medication left at the school. We cannot hold medication over summer or send medications home with students.

The medication form completed by parents for the 2018-2019 school year will be void, a new one must be completed for 2019-2020. All medication and special health forms for next year can be found on Magnus Health.  The completed forms will need to be uploaded to Magnus Health; no student forms will be turned in to school.

A Florida Certification of Immunization (DH 680 form) provided by your child's physician documenting the required vaccinations must be uploaded to Magnus Health before the first day of school. (A new DH 680 form is required only if your child receives additional vaccinations.)

Special Notes:

  • Students entering kindergarten must have received a second dose of the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine and the varicella vaccine.
  • Students entering 7th grade must have received one dose of the tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis (Tdap) vaccine.
  • Download Florida Department of Health 2019 Immunization Requirements

Please contact Mrs. Silvers, CDS School Nurse, if you have any questions. (813.920.2288)
