Ashley Mabry, 4th grade teacher, was awarded by FLIBS a grant for PYP Professional Excellence. The grant will cover attendance at an IB workshop for Concept-Driven Learners.

Please join us for a cheer clinic designed especially for rising middle schoolers. You will practice with the MS Cheerleading Squad and then perform with us at a home basketball game.

Tuesday, January 15
All upper school students in grades 1 through 5 should wear their regular school uniform to school. Students will need to wear their collared CDS uniform polo for their class picture - NO SWEATSHIRTS or PE uniforms, please. Students who have PE should wear their regular uniform to school and bring their PE uniform to change into after their pictures.
Make Up Pictures
Students who have not had their individual pictures taken will also have the opportunity to have their school picture taken on Tuesday, January 15.

A note about After Care
After Care is available until 6:00 pm every day there is school with the exception of Friday, March 15, 2019.
After care is billed to the family's school FACTS account at a rate of $5/hour. Effective January 1, after care will be billed at full hour increments per day.
Each family that intends to utilize the after care program must create a KidCheck account prior to the first day of attendance.

During the week of January 14 - 18, the CDS Gala Committee is challenging our families to donate as many Family Entertainment Gift Cards as possible to be used in various baskets to be auctioned at our 25th Annual Red Carpet Gala – Studio 54 on March 8, 2019. Please send your gift cards in to the Administration Suite marked Attention: Gala Committee. Each week we will focus on another item needed to make our Studio 54 Gala a success.
Middle School Technology
At CDS, technology is embedded in the learning experiences throughout the entire school. Every student in grades 4 - 12 is required to have a personally owned iPad or MacBook.

The All Pro Dad program at CDS does not follow a faith-based agenda, it is character based and is approved by the National PTO for all public schools. This program is for ALL students of ALL religions and students may attend with a special male adult.
This is a great opportunity for dads and their kids to engage in conversation and strengthen their relationships, as well as a time to meet other CDS dads!
Breakfast from Flik will be available for purchase.
