BOOK-O-WEEN IS COMING

Book-O-Ween

On Wednesday, October 31st, students at Carrollwood Day School will host “Book-o-Ween”. The entire lower division will partake in a celebration highlighting characters from our favorite storybooks! Your child is invited to come to school dressed in costume as a character from one of his or her favorite books. Additionally, the students are asked to bring the book to school. During class time on Wednesday, October 31st, the students will share what they have learned about their characters from the books. We will celebrate with a book parade in the morning throughout the school and students will have the chance to share their books with book buddies, friends in their classroom, and classroom visitors such as our specials teachers and support team.

Reminders for Wednesday, October 31st:

  • Dress as your favorite character from a BOOK!
  • Be prepared to share about your character
  • Bring the book with your character
  • Bring a change of clothes to school so that you can put your uniform on after the parade
  • Remember to keep your costume lower division friendly, please do not wear a mask or bring accessories such as swords or weapons
  • Scary costumes should be saved for home. Remember we have little ones on campus and this is a celebration of book characters!

Thank you for your support and enthusiasm as we plan for this special day. Please let us know if you have questions.

Warmest Regards,
Mrs. Trudi Buscemi and Mrs. Stacey Hendershot
