A Standing Ovation for Troupe 7235!
This past weekend, the US thespian troupe performed brilliantly at their annual acting competition. Troupe 7235 took a record number 23 pieces and all received either Excellents or Superiors. The following students received an overall Superior and qualify to take their piece to the state competition in March.
Isabel M. ('21) and Matheson W. ('21), Keira O. ('22) and Fiona W-C. ('22), Paisley G. ('22), Ava G. ('21) for their acting pieces, Kira D. ('19) for her solo musical, and Juliana P. ('21) for her choreographed dance number. For the first time in CDS history, Troupe 7235 was awarded a Critic's Choice. Juliana P. ('21) won this coveted award as a choreographer, beating out all other dance competition.
Congratulations thespians. You made CDS proud!!
A World of Thanks!
We could not more proud of the nearly 100 students who came out last Sunday to make our Open House Extravaganza - CDS LIVE! come to life. They greeted guests, answered questions, gave tours, performed, and brought our classrooms to life with engaging demonstrations of what learning looks like at CDS. Thank you to our volunteers from Elementary Safety Patrol, MS Patriot Society, US Ambassadors and Student Athletic Board along with scores of thespians, musicians, athletes and scholars!
