Parents of students in grades 6 - 12 are invited to attend this series of informational coffees hosted by the College Counseling Department. This month's program will focus on Financial Aid and Merit Based Scholarships. The discussion will include the timeline, required documentation (FAFSA, CSS Profile), and potential qualifying student and family factors.

HURRICANE RELIEF

Respond to Those in Need

Carrollwood Day School's chapters of Children in Action (CA), Girls in Action (GA), and Acteens are organizing a collection of essential items to put together Blessing Buckets for those who will be affected by Hurricane Florence. Collection boxes will be located in the Elementary Multi-Purpose Room and International Square until Wednesday, October 10. Please check the flyer for the items (and sizes) they are collecting.

8TH GRADE WASHINGTON D.C. TRIP

Washington DC

Carrollwood Day School partners with Capital Tours, Inc. for the 8th grade class trip to Washington, DC. This year's trip will be from Monday, March 25 - Thursday, March 28, 2019.  Parents should be receiving a packet with full details about the trip including cost, sample itinerary, and registration form. Registration and payment of the deposit are due October 16, 2018.

EMERGENCY ALERT SYSTEM TEST
Emergency Alert System Test

Tomorrow morning, September 21, Carrollwood Day School will test the mass messaging system that would be used for an actual emergency or important notification. These alerts will be sent as emails, text messages and telephone calls to parents only (not emergency contacts). 

If you are a parent and do not receive a message tomorrow between approximately 9:30 am - 10:00 am, please email Cayce French with your current contact information.

MEDICATION ALERT

ATTENTION PARENTS!

Over the Counter Medications

If your child will need over-the-counter medication during school or school-sponsored activities, you will need to fill out the "Over-the-Counter Medication Form" and submit it to Magnus Health. (Click here to download the form; the attached cover sheet is needed only if you will be faxing or mailing the form to Magnus Health.)

Please note, this form must be signed by BOTH parent and physician . 

If your child gets a bug bite or has a headache, school is able to give your child OTC medication only if the "Over-the-Counter Medication Form" is submitted to Magnus Health.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

Parents must send an email to the Middle School Absence Desk by 2:30 pm if their child needs to be picked up or dismissed early. All students being dismissed early must be picked up by 2:30 pm.


Remember that the East (elementary) entrance gate is closed from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm.

The front loop is closed during MS/US lunch - from 10:50 am - 12:05 pm.


No lunches, homework or other packages can be dropped off at the Welcome Center for MS or US students. Be sure your child comes to school prepared with everything he or she will need.
