First US Parents' Coffee Morning
Tuesday, September 11
8:30 a.m.
Elementary Multi-Purpose Room
Sara Rubinstein, Head of the Upper School, will host a series of morning coffees this year for all upper school parents. 8th grade parents are invited to attend these bi-monthly get togethers that feature a discussion on a topic of particular interest to parents. The topic for this first coffee is Raising Empathetic Kids, in preparation for the parent program on September 26 with Dr. Michele Borba.
Parents’ Coffee Mornings are generally on Thursday mornings at 8:30 a.m.
Additional coffees will be held on:
November 1, January 17, March 14, and April 4. Check the school calendar for the topics for each of these programs.
Middle School and Upper School students are welcome to remain on campus after dismissal. The administration has established after school policies to enable students to remain on campus after school and attend home athletic games in the Hayes Family Gymnasium and Wagner Athletic Complex. No student will be allowed to "hang out" on campus unsupervised after dismissal. Students who are not participating in an athletic team practice session are not allowed to be in the gymnasium or fitness center after school. These facilities are fully booked by the athletic teams.
MS/US Study Hall
By 3:45 p.m. all students must be in an extracurricular activity (working with a teacher, attending an after school program, athletic team practice, drama/music rehearsal, etc.) or report to the supervised MS/US study hall that will be held in the US Humanities Quad (Rooms H129 and H130). Teachers staffing study hall this year are Mr. Jannereth, Ms. Flansburg, and Ms. O'Neill.
Questions? Please contact Mr. Jannereth, MS/US After School Study Hall Coordinator.
