('18) for breaking the school record for most goals scored in a season for both boys and girls soccer, She currently has 35 goals, surpassing the record set by Carli G. ('16) for 32 goals;  Rachel has a career total of 97 goals in her four years playing soccer for CDS.

If you have not received your child's personal code of the IB exams, please contact CDS's IB DP Co-ordinator, Mrs. Hsu, and she can share that with you.

  • Senior Notes
    Senior Notes contains more detailed information about these upcoming deadlines and other end-of-year/graduation events and responsibilities:
    • SENIOR SLIDE SHOW: A special slideshow is being prepared that will showcase pictures of the Class of 2018. All pictures must be received by Friday, April 20. No print pictures; pictures must be digital pictures on DVDs/CDs, thumb drives, or emailed to seniorpictures@carrollwooddayschool.org. (Please enter your child's name in the subject line of the email.)
    • SENIOR PARENT REFLECTIONS: Senior parents are invited to share reflections about their graduating senior's years at CDS which will be compiled into a commemorative booklet. These reflections can be overall impressions or thoughts about what being part of CDS meant/means to you and your child ... or simply sharing a specific memory/event that had an impact on your child during his/her time at CDS. Reflections will be due by Friday, April 20
    • SENIOR CLASS GIFT: The Class of 2018 will raise funds to enhance the deĢcor and furnishings of the Upper School Senior Lounge. It is at your discretion as to what you would like to contribute, no donation is too small. https://budurl.me/CDS2018

What Can IB?

Upper School will host its fourth biennial career day on Tuesday, February 20 for all students in grades 9 - 12. This is an exciting opportunity for our students to be able to spend an afternoon exploring their future plans. The program will begin with a Keynote Speaker and then students will attend three breakout sessions led by professionals representing a wide range of careers. 

Students will have an opportunity to learn about the different jobs, education needs, specific requirements, and related job opportunities in career fields that interest them.  

MESSAGE FROM SCHOOL NURSE

FLU ALERT

NurseFlu activity has increased significantly over recent weeks, according to the CDC and the Florida Department of Health. At CDS, faculty and staff are working diligently to ensure that all classrooms are disinfected regularly. The best way to keep yourself and your family safe and healthy during flu season is to:

  • Get vaccinated;
  • Keep sick family members home;
  • Contact your health care provider if you or your child are experiencing flu-like symptoms; and
  • Follow your doctor’s guidance on treatment.

11TH GRADE ES&S FIELD TRIP

The 11th grade ES&S classes will be visiting Crystal Springs Preserve on Monday, February 12, 2018. Students will need to bring lunch with them. Flik is now set up to provide box lunches for school field trips!

Patriot Buddies

A special "Pre-Patriot Buddy" activity is planned for this year's Junior class and kindergarteners. These two classes - next year's Patriot Buddy classes - will have a chance to meet and have some fun together. Individual Buddy pairings will not be assigned until the beginning of our next school year.

  • Mandatory Fly Training:  March 27, 28, and 29.  You must be available for these 3 days when our fly master is here.
  • Tech Week: March 30, 31, April 2, 3, 4, 5 
  • Shows: April 6, 7, 8, 13, 14
