Faculty & Staff Appreciation
Bearss Avenue Campus
Wednesday, April 26
PTO will host a luncheon for the Bearss Avenue campus faculty and staff (elementary, middle school, high school, and administrative) on Wednesday, April 26. Volunteers are needed to help set up, serve, and cleanup. Please visit iVolunteer to sign up to help!
The giving away of door prizes is a fun addition to this event. If you are able to donate any items or gift cards for the special giveaway, please contact April Babb by email and turn your donations in to Vicki Rivas in the elementary office. All items must be turned in by Monday, April 24th. Thank you!
On April 28, Middle School students are invited to bring a blanket or beach towel for a special picnic lunch on South Beach. They should bring their lunch as usual [or order from Red Elephant]. MS will follow a special schedule with a slightly extended lunch to enjoy the picnic time. Frisbees encouraged! Lunch will begin at 11:00 am that day. This is also the day of a shaved ice sale benefitting the V Foundation. The shaved ice sale will be held on South Beach that day.
This event has been planned by MS Student Council.
8th Grade Promotion Ceremony

We will recognize the accomplishments of our eighth grade students as they prepare to enter high school.
- A special slide show that captures childhood memories of the Class of 2021 will be part of the program. Please send digital photos by April 19 to 8thgradepictures@carrollwooddayschool.org.
- A reception for the 8th grade and their families will follow the assembly.
8th Grade Tribute Slideshow
Parents: Please send in 4-5 digital pictures of your 8th grader, including a baby picture. 
Group shots of current 8th grade students from throughout their years at CDS are also welcome. Do not send in print photos or MS Word documents please, just PDF or jpeg files. If you have only print photos, you can scan them at any local CVS, Walgreens, Target, etc.
Electronic pictures should be emailed to 8thgradepictures@carrollwooddayschool.org. Please include your child's name in the subject line of the email message.
The deadline for submitting pictures for the slide show is Wednesday, April 19, 2017.
8th Grade Bonfire and Movie Night
Friday, May 12, 2017 ~ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Reservations Requested
This event is free of charge and will take place at school. We are in need of roasting sticks to borrow for this event. There is a place on the reservation form to indicate if you can help provide these items. We look forward to a wonderful evening of s'mores, friends, and fun!
Please bring your own blanket and/or lawn chair and bug spray. Students will roast s'mores and enjoy a movie on the lawn.

Varsity Spring Football starts now!
Monday, April 24
Initial meeting @ 5:00 pm in the Hayes Family Gymnasium, followed by practice on the field.
Interested rising 9th graders (current 8th graders) with all levels of skill and experience are welcome.
If you are looking to have fun and want to compete and be a part of something great, please come out!
Spring practice is every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 5:00 pm-7:00 pm
