TICKETS ON SALE NOW! |
TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR
Join us for an evening of three one act performances. Both the Upper and Middle School Thespians will showcase their competition pieces, completely run by the students.
Middle School Thespians will perform the vignette play, Hoodie.
- Middle schoolers face a tornado of questions every day. What do I wear? What if I wear the wrong thing? What is she wearing? What do I look like? Stop looking at me! Hoodie examines image and appearance and poses what may be the most difficult question of all – Do I stay in the clump or do I stand alone?
9th grade will perform Check Please.
- Check Please follows a series of blind dinner dates that couldn't get any worse -- until they do. Could there possibly be a light at the end of the tunnel?
10th grade's competition piece is Badger.
Caution: This production contains mature themes that may not be suitable for younger audiences. Badger will be the last performance of the night.
- In 1944, five young women take newly-available jobs at one of the largest munitions factories in the United States: the Badger Ordnance Works. Facing dangerous work with highly flammable powder as well as insidious sexism, the women form an unlikely friendship through joy and heartbreak. A vibrant ensemble brings the factory to life as each of the women confronts not only the challenges of entering the workforce in the darkest days of World War II, but also who she is and what she truly values. Unforgettable human stories make the era immediate in this captivating ensemble drama.

ECC & ELEMENTARY AFTERCARE |
KidCheck®
CDS uses KidCheck® to provide an online check in/check out system for the safety and tracking of our children. Every ECC and Elementary family should create an account. This assures that our AfterCare program is equipped to care for your child in the event that unplanned circumstances prevent you from picking up your child at the regular dismissal time. If you used KidCheck last year, your account is still active.
How to create your KidCheck account
Picking up from AfterCare (Grades 1-5)
After Care is located in the Elementary Multi-Purpose Room. When picking up child(ren) from AfterCare, parents should pull into the School Bus Loop and pick-up children directly from the Elementary Multi-Purpose Room (glass doors facing the bus loop).

BOX TOP$ FOR EDUCATION
Box Tops for Education is an important tool for CDS to raise funds for small projects. Our school's lifetime earnings are $16,552. We are setting a goal of $1,500 this year.
BTFE is going digital! The new and improved Box Tops app uses today's technology to scan your store receipt, find participating products and instantly add Box Tops to our school's earnings online.
You can still send in traditional clips. If your package has a traditional Box Tops, cut it out and send them into to school. Each clip is worth 10 cents. You can scan your receipt and clip the Box Tops and get twice the amount.

SEESAW FOR ECC & ELEMENTARY |
Stay Informed with SeeSaw
Seesaw is the primary communication tool used by ECC teachers. Seesaw provides a secure and safe, easy-to-use, way for students, teachers, and parents to seamlessly communicate and collaborate to enhance students’ learning and success. Seesaw is a digital portfolio that students will use to showcase what they are learning and doing at school and share with their family.
Once Seesaw is activated for this school year, returning families will use their same account. Access codes and instructions for creating parent Seesaw accounts will be sent home to new ECC parents during the first two weeks of school. Here is a quick introduction to how Seesaw will connect you to your child's learning and classroom!
Flik serves scratch prepared entrees, including a vegetarian option, a daily grill special, chef prepared specialty salad and a full salad bar, and deli sandwiches with in-house roasted deli meats. Middle school and upper school students can also purchase selections from the CDS Food Truck, located by the front loop. Breakfast is also available every day beginning at 7:30 a.m. and fresh fruit, yogurt parfaits, assorted snacks and beverages are available for purchase during US snack breaks.
Cash is not accepted in the lunch line. Purchases are prepaid by creating an account at www.myschoolbucks.com or by bringing a check to the Welcome Center made out to Flik.
- If a student's account becomes overdrawn by $15, the student will be served a Sunbutter and jelly sandwich for $3.50 which will be deducted from the student's account balance. We recommend that parents set up auto pay on their MySchoolBucks.com account to ensure their children get to have the lunch of their choice.
Each student is assigned a POS ID number. Returning students will use the same POS number as last year. The cashier can help MS and US students who may have forgotten their POS numbers. Elementary teachers have the POS numbers for all their students. If you did not receive or remember your child's POS number, please call Sandra Moore at 813.920.2288 x129 to get the POS number needed to set up and fund each child's MySchoolBucks.com account. (A separate account must be set up for each child.) ECC students are able to pre-order lunches for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. |

MS & US |
Middle School students are welcome to remain on campus after dismissal. The administration has established after school policies to enable students to remain on campus after school and attend home athletic games in the Hayes Family Gymnasium and Wagner Athletic Complex. No student will be allowed to "hang out" on campus unsupervised after dismissal. Students who are not participating in an athletic team practice session are not allowed to be in the gymnasium or fitness center after school. These facilities are fully booked by the athletic teams.
Supervision for middle school students will begin at 3:00 p.m. Following dismissal. all students must be in an extracurricular activity (working with a teacher, attending an after school program, athletic team practice, drama/music rehearsal, etc.) or report to the designated MS/US study hall areas. The MS Study Hall will be held in the MS Student Lounge and Design Tech classrooms. Teachers staffing study hall this year are Mr. Jannereth, Ms. Flansburg, and Ms. O'Neill.
- There is no charge for students to attend the MS After School Study Hall.
- Normal study hall hours are until 6:00 pm every school day.
- All students reporting to MS/US study hall must sign in and sign out.
- Students will be allowed to sign themselves out of study hall when their ride home arrives or to go to a sports event; parents will not need to come in to sign out their child. Parents should call or text students once they have arrived on campus. Some cell service does not work inside the school building; if you are unable to contact your child directly, parents should call the school (813.920.2288) and the Welcome Center will notify the study hall supervisor to dismiss your child.
- Once a child is signed out of study hall, he/she will not be allowed to return. Once children are signed out of study hall, they will no longer be supervised by CDS faculty.
- The expectation is for a "quiet" study hall, but the teacher supervising may allow exceptions for groups working together on school projects or assignments.
- Study hall classrooms must be left as clean as found.
- All school rules/policies apply during study hall hours. Behavior issues will be reported to the parent. Repeated behavior issues will be referred to the appropriate Assistant Division Head.
