History Fair Update

A project featuring Mr. Rogers is recognized by WEDU PBS.

Each year, CDS History students in middle and upper school take on the challenge of competing in the Hillsborough County History Fair. This year's theme was Communication in History: The Key to Understanding. On February 23 we recognized the 13 CDS middle school and upper school students whose projects earned awards and are advancing to the state competition.

One project, by Melanie D. ('22), caught the attention of WEDU PBS, our local PBS station. Melanie competed in the Individual Performance category and based her project on "Mr. Rogers' Methods of Communication and Understanding Children." Melanie and her project are now featured on the WEDU PBS website and their YouTube channel!

Thank you to Mrs. Hollingsworth for bringing Melanie's story to WEDU PBS.
