Congratulations to Ashley Mabry, 4th grade teacher, on being confirmed an IB Workshop Leader by the IB Educators Network (IBEN). Workshop leaders facilitate professional development for teachers in schools implementing the IB programmes. Ashley was selected from more than 1000 IB educators to participate and complete the intensive training to become an IB workshop leader. She has pursued this goal for many years and had to show her IB expertise through questioning, video interviews, written units of inquiry, and letters of recommendations.

Lisa Vicencio, CDS's PYP Coordinator, is particularly proud of Mrs. Mabry's accomplishment, pointing out, "she completed this in depth training during the first two months of this unique school year!"  As a member of the IBEN, Ashley will be able to connect with and access other exemplary educators around the world who share her passion to ensure high quality international education with the aim of creating a more peaceful world.
