CDS Students Score High in the Bebras Challenge!

CDS upper school computer science students scored significantly above the national average in the Bebras® Computing Challenge.

The Bebras® Computing Challenge introduces computational thinking to students. It is organized in over 30 countries and designed to get students all over the world excited about computing. The challenges are made of a set of short problems called Bebras tasks that tests students’ computational thinking. The tasks are fun, engaging, and based on problems that Computer Scientists enjoy solving.

In the second week of November, all CDS upper school computer science students in grades 9 to 11 took part in the Bebras® Computing Challenge.

Each participant gets 45 minutes to answer 15 multiple-choice questions that focus on computational and logical thinking. CDS students in grades 9 and 10 took the Junior level challenge and students in grade 11 took the Senior level challenge.
