It was signing day on the CDS campus today for two of our student-athletes and we couldn't be prouder.

Emma A. is a leader on and off the soccer field. As a junior, Emma was awarded both the Upper School Division Head Award and the CDS Patriot Scholar-Athlete of the Year award. This year, Emma was selected by Hillsborough County coaches to be a member of the 2020 Senior Soccer Challenge Hillsborough All-Star Team and was awarded for her amazing essay on how soccer has changed her life at the Hillsborough County All-Star soccer game. Today Emma signing her commitment to Rollins College to continue her academic and athletic future. Good luck Emma! We are so proud to call you a Patriot!

Senior EJ is a long time Patriot. He is one of our CDS "Lifers" and remembers a time when he and friend, Reece, would construct buildings together. His CDS journey took him into the upper school as a leader in the student council and to Class President for his senior year. EJ is an accomplished fencer. Since starting as a 6th grader with the Tampa Fencing Academy and later the Naples Fencing Academy, EJ competed in both local and national tournaments and championships and placed third in the Southeast Region 6. Today EJ confirmed that he will be continuing his education and competitive fencing with Drew University in the Fall of 2020.

We are so proud of our student-athletes and their dedication to excellence on and off the field/court. We can't wait to watch them compete for their respective colleges.
