BASKETBALL

• Varsity/JV/Freshmen
  • Boys: Monday was Senior Night -  JV lost and Varsity won their game vs. Lakeland Christian School; Thursday - JV and Varsity won their games vs. Indian Rocks Christian School; Friday - The JV and Varsity games vs. Sunlake High School were canceled
  • Girls: Tuesday - Varsity game vs. Tampa Christian Academy was canceled; Thursday - Varsity team won their game vs. Santa Fe Catholic High School; Friday - Varsity game vs. Sunlake High School was canceled
• Middle School
  • Boys: Tuesday - Red Team won against Imagine School; Wednesday, Balck vs. White had a fun intrasquad match; Thursday - Red Team and Patriot Team won their games vs.Cambridge Christian School; Friday - Patriot Team beat Trinity Preparatory School
  • Girls: Tuesday - Red Team game vs. Berkeley Preparatory School was canceled and the Patriot Team won against Imagine School; Thursday - Patriot Team lost to Westlake Christian School; Friday -  The Patriot Team lost to Trinity Preparatory School

  • Boys: Monday - Varsity won 4-1 vs. Cambridge Christian School; Wednesday - Varsity game vs. Pasco High School was canceled
  • Girls:  Thursday - Varsity lost their game vs. Wesley Chapel High School
     
• Middle School: 
  • ​​​​​​​Boys: Monday - Patriot Team game vs. Pinellas Preparatory Academy was canceled; Tuesday - Patriot Team lost to Westlake Christian School; Wednesday - Red Team won their game vs. Universal Academy of Florida
  • Girls:  Monday - Patriot Team game vs. Pinellas Preparatory Academy was canceled

WRESTLING

Six members of the Varsity Wresting Team competed at the 39^th annual Kiwanis Invitational Wrestling Tournament at Hernando High School in Brooksville this past weekend. The tournament is a large two-day tourney with 25 teams from all over Florida. Overall CDS finished seventh as a team in the tournament. Special shout-outs to:

• Mason A. ('21) and Desmond M. ('21) each won their weight classes over the weekend. Mason pinned his way through the tournament winning four matches by fall in less than 5 minutes cumulative mat time. Desmond pinned three opponents before defeating a returning State Qualifier from Hernando High School in overtime to win the heavyweight title. Both Mason and Desmond remain undefeated on the year.

• Brendan P. ('21) was also a finalist, winning four matches before falling in the finals to a returning 2A state champion from Tampa Jesuit.
