April Plank Challenge

Join the challenge and get strong together. Post your plank with #CDSPLANKCHALLENGE!

Coach Bitha Wodrich may have rolled out the Plank Challenge for the Lower School on April 1, but staying fit is no joke! All you need to do the Plank Challenge is a floor, a mat or rug, and a timer. To do a plank, get in a push-up position with your hands right underneath your shoulders and keep your body as straight as possible. For the first week, Coach set a goal of holding that position for 20 seconds. From there you can go down to your forearms and try to plank for another 20 seconds. For week two, Coach challenged everyone to increase their time to 25 seconds and she added something extra to try.  She cut four openings in a pizza delivery box and added the challenge of moving your hand into one of more open sections of the box while holding the plank position!

Take a look at how some of our students -- and their families --  are taking the Plank Challenge to the next level!

It is not too late for you to join the challenge and get strong together. That includes middle school and upper school students and families, too! Post your plank with #CDSPLANKCHALLENGE!
