OTHER INFORMATION

Employed Since 2016

Dan Holtsclaw received his bachelor’s degree in Education from Toccoa Falls College and his master’s degree in Education from the University of North Georgia. He was then offered a job as student activity director in a private boarding/day school in north Georgia, so the family moved to the campus.  He stayed there for 25 years, where he served in many capacities, including Athletic Director and Dean of Students.  “Mr. Dan” as he was referred to, was a member of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Committee Board, led the Student Government program, and was a member of the Diversity Committee. He often traveled with student groups to places like Washington D.C., Savannah, GA, Rome, Italy, and Berlin, Germany.  The Holtsclaw's raised their three children on the boarding school campus, and after 25 years, they decided to move back to Tampa in 2015.  Now Dan is happy to be a part of the CDS family, as Assistant Head of the Middle School.
