Middle School Science Fair

Students qualify to compete at the Hillsborough County Regional Science Fair

Everyone did a phenomenal job this year. Thank you to our high school science department for judging the middle school projects.

The following students will have the opportunity to take their projects on to the Hillsborough County Regional Science Fair in February.

6th GRADE
Casey Brynjolfsson - Pop Goes the Kernel
Chrissy Brynjolfsson - Does Light Have an Effect on the Growth of Painted Lady Butterflies?
Jackson Gore - Can Wii be Fit?
Maya Mahoney - Brain Strain: Does Gender Affect Memory?

7th GRADE
Heath Grady - The Effect of Nanoparticle Coatings on the Interior Temperature of Structures
Justin Poon - Which Type of Boat Sails the Fastest?
Rachel Simmons - The Effects of Varying Amounts of Water on Seed Germination
Anna Simon - To Bend or Not to Bend- That is the Question

8th GRADE
Kelly Edson - The Effect of Crowding on Plant Growth
Gabby Reimer - Does the Angle of a Mirror Affect the Collection of Solar Energy?
Trevor Torres - Which Food Product Molds Fastest at Room Temperature?
Danny Verghese - How Many Blades are Efficient for a Windmill?
