Parent Involvement

Active parent involvement plays an important role in our community. Parents affirm the importance of their children's education by participating in school functions. Therefore CDS parents are expected to support extracurricular activities, volunteer in classrooms, athletic events and lunches, and participate in the CDS PTO. Working closely and continuously with teachers and administrators will enhance your child's education. Setting an example of involvement and support will encourage your child to do the same.

Communication

We at CDS value clear and direct communication. We expect parents to contact the appropriate teacher or administrator with concerns, questions or suggestions. In turn the faculty and staff will always be prompt in notifying parents of a student's progress. Keeping the lines of communication open and direct will insure prompt attention given to issues as they occur.
