Admissions Policy & Procedure

Carrollwood Day School welcomes all prospective applicants and families. The school seeks to admit those students who show the potential to grow significantly while at CDS. Students must be academically on or above grade level. Students who require specialized, individualized instruction or intervention, or are unable to function adequately in the classroom are not considered for admission. When considering an application the committee takes into account the previous school's recommendations. The following steps must be completed before a candidate is accepted.
1. Tour the school (by appointment only)
2. Completion of the Basic Application and Application Fee- $75.00
3. Student testing, interview and tour (by appointment only)
4. Receipt of student records, including grades from the last two academic years, standardized test scores, and teacher recommendation form(s).
(This step varies depending on the student's grade level.)

Carrollwood Day School is a non-sectarian, co-educational independent day school. The school is accredited by the Florida Council of Independent Schools. Carrollwood Day School admits qualified students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin and is non-discriminatory in all policies and school administered programs.
