Please check your email inbox for a message from Ryan Kelly, Head of School. As part of Carrollwood Day School's periodic self-study process, we are conducting a formal survey of our constituents. This survey is sent to all current parents, faculty/staff and students in grades 5 - 12. The survey will take approximately ten minutes to complete and all responses are anonymous and confidential. Please take a few moments to complete this survey before Friday, December 15. Your responses will help to enhance the school and plan for the future of the school.
Please contact Erma Ruffkess if you did not receive an email with the survey link.
DON'T MISS OUT!
ADMISSIONS FOR CDS SIBLINGS
Our Admissions Department has been very busy giving tours and meeting with families interested in enrolling their children at CDS next year. Based on current enrollment and applicant interest, we know that we will be full in several grades. In order to avoid disappointment for current families with children they would like to enroll at CDS for the first time next year, we are asking our current families to notify the admissions department ASAP about those siblings so that we may start planning.
Please email Charlotte Benziger to start the admissions process and to place your name on the list.
Applications are available now for new students, while re-enrollment information for current CDS students will be sent home in January.
Photographs ordered from Studio Artistry for students in grades 1 - 12 have been given to students to bring home.

School Directories have arrived! Students in grades 1 - 12 will receive the directories to bring home this week. One directory is being sent home to each family. ECC students will receive their directories beginning Thursday. The contact information contained in the printed School Directory can also be accessed online through My BackPack.
Considerable effort and attention is put into compiling and proofreading the School Directory, but inevitably there will be some errors. We apologize for any typos and/or oversights. Please note, all contact information published in the directory is pulled from families' My BackPack accounts. If your listing needs to be corrected, please update your profile on My BackPack or contact Charlotte Benziger at cbenziger@carrollwooddayschool.org.

Please remind your children to bring home their pictures (if ordered) and your family's copy of the School Directory.
I Never Saw Another Butterfly is a moving one-act play based on the poetry created in a concentration camp by the Jewish children of Prague. The play details children’s account of life during the Holocaust. It is a heavy emotional piece.
Online ticket sales will end at 9:00 pm tonight. Tickets may be purchased at the door, cash or check only.
The play contains mature content and themes and is not recommended for children younger than 7th grade.

Our first focus is Taking it Up a Notch: Following from our continued collaboration with Dr. Michele Borba, and based on YOUR survey feedback, every grade level in every division spent the afternoon of November 15th formulating action plans grounded in authenticity, current research, proven best practices, and most importantly, your feedback. Why spend an entire day on building empathy?
