An increase in local donations is urgently needed as OneBlood sends blood to aid in Harvey relief efforts. Nearly 300 units of blood have been sent in the past two days and OneBlood will continue to supply blood to the Lone Star state until further notice.
Generally healthy people age 16 or older who weigh at least 110 pounds can donate blood. Photo ID is required. All donors will receive a wellness checkup of blood pressure, pulse, temperature and iron count, including a cholesterol screening.
On Tuesday, August 29, Carrollwood Day School tested the mass messaging system that would be used for an actual emergency or important notification. These alerts were sent as emails, text messages and telephone calls to parents only (not emergency contacts).
If you are a parent and did not receive a message on Tuesday afternoon, please email Cayce French with your current contact information.
All items that are in the lost and found cabinets on the Bearss Avenue campus will be cleaned out tomorrow afternoon, Friday, September 1. Parents and students should check for items before noon on Friday.
For the remainder of the year, Lost and Found items will be cleaned out on the last Friday of each month and prior to all extended school breaks.
